Wayne, Ne- Providence Medical Center is proud to announce that Kiley Wohlers has been selected as a recipient of the Nebraska Hospital Association’s Caring Kind Award. The award recognizes healthcare employees who demonstrate exceptional compassion, dedication and commitment to patients, families and their communities.
Kiley has been a valued member of the Providence Medical Center team for 26 years. She began her career at PMC as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) before joining the Social Services team, where she continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families.
“Kiley is truly one of the most compassionate and caring people I know,” said Leslie Schulz, Social Services Director at Providence Medical Center. “Her commitment to providing high-quality care is one of her greatest strengths. Kiley consistently goes above and beyond to ensure her patients and families feel supported and cared for during some of the most difficult times of their lives. She has an incredible ability to listen and takes the time to understand each patient’s needs, concerns and goals, helping them make informed decisions about their care.”
Kiley is highly respected by her coworkers and providers and is known as a dependable team player. She is always willing to step in and help others, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to meet the needs of patients.
As a strong patient advocate, Kiley is committed to doing what is best for each patient. Her kindness and empathy help her build trust and lasting relationships with patients and their families that extend beyond their hospital stay.
Those relationships are evident in the many patients and families who return to Providence Medical Center to visit Kiley after they have been discharged. Some come to express their gratitude, ask for continued support, or simply stop by to share how they are doing.
“Kiley’s dedication to her patients goes far beyond their time in the hospital,” said Leslie Schulz. “The lasting relationships she builds with patients and families truly embody the spirit of the Caring Kind Award.”
