Heather is a physician assistant (PA) who provides care to patients in the Emergency Department at Providence Medical Center.  She was born and raised in Columbus, NE before moving to Sioux City, IA to complete her Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry at Briar Cliff University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.  Heather then went on to attend the University of South Dakota where she graduated with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.  Heather began her career at MercyOne in Sioux City where she practiced in the Emergency Department for a total of 7 years and also spent 4 years practicing with Mercy Cardiology.  In her 15 years as a PA, she has also covered ERs in the small towns of Hawarden and Cherokee in Iowa.  She currently resides in Hinton, IA with her husband, Kelly, and three children – Noah, Clara, and James.
