Our support groups offer people the opportunity to gather with people who have common experiences or concerns who can provide each other with encouragement, comfort, and advice.
Currently, we offer a grief support group and a support group for those who are primary caregivers for loved ones.
God puts people in our path for a reason. After the death of my parents, I attended the Grief Support Group at the Providence Medical Center. Attending the group was the beginning of healing my broken heart. I felt so welcomed and safe in the group. Grief shared is grief diminished. A special thank you to the facilitators, Joan and Anna. I will always be grateful. They have a special gift for listening.
I used this service 18 years ago after my husband’s sudden death and again recently after losing a sibling. You go in feeling so alone in your grief; but soon learn there are others in the same position as you are. The Support Team is so compassionate and caring to help you find comfort. Listening to others and sharing with others in the group, creates a special bond and you find you are not alone. I would recommend this class to anyone!
