Dr. Vollstedt began performing bariatric surgery in 1992. He also practiced at Midlands Clinic beginning in 2008. He is a current member of The American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). Dr. Vollstedt states that, “he became interested in bariatric surgery to help people fulfill their goals to improve themselves. Bariatric surgery is intellectually and technically stimulating and challenging. It is satisfying when people are happy with their results”.
